Playa Biesanz, Manuel Antonio National Park

(4.2/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Venture off the beaten path as you step onto the cream-colored sand of Playa Biesanz. The beach is small and secluded, reached by a short trail through tropical rainforest. The trail begins at a small break in a fence between hotels Shana and Parador. Shade trees border the beach, where you can read a book or just admire the view. Go snorkeling in the clear waters, or kayak offshore to go exploring. A nearby submerged rock is known for being a good snorkeling spot. Put Playa Biesanz at the forefront of your travel plans using our Manuel Antonio National Park vacation trip planner.

  • Lovely secluded beach in quiet cove. Calm sea lovely for swimming. Hired kayak which was great fun. Uphill trek to get back to hotel but worth it.  more »
  • We went because it was the closest to the hotel where we were. Access is very poor. It is a stony path difficult to walk, and worse still carry a cooler, a beach chair. When you arrive is a Bay of still water, half inaccessible by the amount of rocks, and the other half have to go very carefully into the water by the large amount of stones that are not, and making that you one hit, tripped and hurt your legs. Not worth going to a place so inaccessible and with so many difficulties having near playa espadilla.
