  • Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. A great way to see local fauna and learn a bit about them. Only took a little over an hour for $25. A must do if you are in Jaco and need a short break.  more »

  • This place is a small zoo where they breed endangered animals to release into the wild. They have frogs, snakes, turtles, parrots, macaws, and butterflies. The guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and the breeding programs. He will show you every animal individually and answer every question with great enthusiasm and patience. The only reason that I didn't give this more stars is that the admission of US$25 per person (for a 75-minute tour) seems high compared to comparable tours in Costa Rica.
  • All animals in cages, butterfly cage is nice but most experience is "sad", snakes are very aggressive but in cages, could be scary for younger kids..
  • Very nice place with several animals. We were lucky to have an English speaking guide. The more or less similar welcoming at first sight, but all is good enough. Bring money liquid (33 000 colones) since there is no system for cards.
