  • Great experience, all of the staff were very friendly and provided great information while also letting us explore on our own. $15 per person was well worth it as we spent close to 2 hours in the conservatory and enjoyed it all! A staff member even went out of his way to walk with us to help spot a howler monkey and toucan. Our favorite experience in Arenal area
  • Very informative about the history of the conservatory as well as the butterflies they raise and release. Great nature trail, cool frogs, turtles and toads and the butterflies were breathtaking. The owner (who is from Austin, TX) was very helpful and shared his knowledge of the area with us. I didn't really want to take the time to go, but it was worth it and I'd do it again.
  • A very mellow and pleasant experience off the beaten path. A guide followed us around each of the areas and explained each species, mating patterns, etc. An unexpected highlight of the experience was the solo rainforest walk - my young daughters (5 and 3) loved the 20 minutes or so of walking to get back to the front gate. Cost was $15/person. No credit cards accepted. They sell bottled water at the entrance.
  • Exceeded expectations! The moment we walked in, we saw four howler monkeys (wild, they just hang out in the conservatory trees) and then saw hundreds of gorgeous butterflies. They also had various kinds of frogs and turtles. Staff were friendly and helpful - clearly passionate about what they do and we're very excited to show us their work.
  • A large and well maintained facility. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, works hard to educate all visitors. Follow the beautiful, well marked nature trail thru tropical rain forest before you leave!
