Lots to see, good and personal explanation. Very nice. Have the American owner and his own experience heard of something like that. Particular. The area (El Castillo) is still small scale and the residents want to keep and place a agrotourism trying not to succumb to the Commerce as in La Fortuna. Let's hope so ....

Totally worth the $15. The experience of being in the different butterfly houses is remarkable. Seems like out of a fantasy world to be in a small space with so many beautiful butterflies. The guides are passionate and super helpful. The parking lot has an amazing view of Arenal volcano. The insect museum has several different types of butterflies in cocoons?? And if you're lucky you'll be able to see a butterfly hatch! Definitely a must in Costa Rica

This is a wonderful treat for your eyes.We were able to capture a lot of nice images for our documentary. Make sure you bring a macro lens and lots of patience to shoot the butterflies once they move very very fast from one place to another. A must go once in Arenal !

Nice place about 40 minutes from la fortuna. If you go to arenal national park or observatory this is a great side stop. Cash only. 15 for adults. 12 for kids. Owner is nice and informative. 4 butterfly habitats are amazing. Pond is not so great but has some scary looking turtles in it. Take the long walk at the end, very primitive and many beautful plants, trees, and flowers to see.

Awesome place to visit, staff was absolutely fantastic, provided a ridiculous amount of knowledge and info, watched butterflies hatch, and observed new species!
