The latter relates to the Baumarten-as well as the vines - and richness of epiphytes, but also different kinds of birds there en masse. Giant sheets and air plants occupy an unbridled vigour, and one can assume that you will find beautiful blooming anything at any time; in our case, for example, Bomarea - and Plumiera types, numerous epihytische orchids or a Tigridia. The whole thing is traversed by a mountain stream with many pools and small waterfalls. This is by no means unique in the country, but in Cloudbridge this atmosphere as private property of North American owners is protected and thus remains to the delight of inquisitive and nature interested visitors and monitors. What but a little strange encounters, is less clear call for a donation at the entrance to Cloudbridge, as rather the note, that is the donation amount on 6 US$ (and more, presumably) amount should. Funny, for donations you should leave it to actually rather visitors, how much he wants to pay / can. Well, we have donated more than desired. But it the suspicion arises that there could be maybe (maybe!) but mainly to a profit-oriented business. Arts, courses, and research with biological studies and information content are capitalized but as well as measures for the restoration, and that seemed a very laudable concern then despite the critical consideration.
She had a wonderful two days hiking here. It’s a wonderful forest with many trails. We went off season so the trails crossing the river were risky and I wouldn’t recommend it for those without safety ropes, if you fall into the current it is certain death. The forest paths are well marked out and there are walking sticks and a information hut at the entrance, we just helped ourselves to a sick. Fauna was in abundance but wildlife is well hidden. The memorial garden is a must see.
Nice Reserve with some hiking trails. The beginning of the trail is very hard and steep but after 300 meters everything is easy to do.
This place is amazing a lot many species the flora and fauna in a place very close the town the San Gerardo de Rivas just a few kilometers the San Isidro the Pérez Zeledón. I recommend this place for visitors and lovers the hiking!
