Finca Luna Nueva Reviews
Roy is incredibly informative and inspiring. Saw so many features of the farm and so many interesting plants. And Roy is a master at birdcalls. more »
I spent my first 24 hrs in Costa Rica at Finca Luna Nueva Lodge and I feel soothed, nourished, and (after a cosmic cacao elixir) ecstatic. This is a place I am lucky to have had the chance to find... more »
I have wondered if it was possible to be in a natural environment, and how would it be. Here you have the chance to experience it, and it is not bad as I initially though, in fact very good, I... more »
Came here for four nights and absolutely loved it. On the first day, got a complimentary farm tour, incredibly interactive and with a very knowledgeable guide who was a founder of this extraordinary organic farm! All the food here is homemade, and pictured below is the classic salviche which we especially enjoyed! Would definitely recommend this hotel.
So much more than just a place to stay. It's a massive farm that organically produces what it needs for its guests. But it is like you stay in a rainforest with sloths in trumpet trees above the pool. The farm tour was just amazing and Roy very knowledgeable.
Wunderful spot and a great team. Our second and third night in Costa Rica. Perfect to understand basics and enjoy Carlos' tour de Cacao as well as Steven's Farm tour. Even our boys (15 and 18 ) enjoyed it a lot. Breakfast and dinner cooking are awesome!
I stayed at Finca Luna Nueva over Memorial Day weekend and couldn't have asked for a better stay! The food was incredible - it came straight from the farm onsite to our table. The rooms were beautiful, the property, and staff were all amazing. Another highlight was the Chocolate Tour that the farm offered - highly recommend!
We came to Finca Luna Nueva for six nights for our honeymoon. We could not have had a better time in this paradise! Not only is it a stunning place, it's also a progressive, sustainable biodynamic farm. It felt really great to vacation in a spot that values the land and the local community as deeply as this place does. We appreciated all of the delicious farm-fresh meals in the restaurant, the many sloth sightings (and so much other wildlife) right in our backyard, and all of the many details that show that this place goes above and beyond to make the experience comfortable and relaxing yet also adventurous and educational. We want to give a special shout out to Ariel and Byron for preparing us many delicious drinks - always with a smile and some friendly conversation - in the restaurant, to Carlos for the fascinating walk through the history of cacao in the chocolate making class, and to Roy for the vast amounts of knowledge he shared during the farm tour, the nighttime rainforest hike, and the early morning birding. This is a special place that makes you feel special for finding it. We look forward to returning someday in the future. Much love and gratitude to the whole Finca Luna Nueva family! - Zack & Nandi
