  • I realize $30 is not cheap but this sylheti is not funded by the government. They do Rehab on several sloths a year and provide great Educational Services for children. The bonus is the little boat ri...  more »
  • $30USD is just far far too much for what you get. It's just a 2 hour talk about sloths and you get to see about 10 injured sloths in their permanent resident's cages.  more »

  • This place is just awful. A few "happy" sloths out front and so many cooped up ones in the back. Truly a place where sloths go to die in agony
  • It was not as I expected. They tell you they save animals and put them back in the forest, but I didn't see any prove of that. The only thing I saw was beautiful handicapped creatures that were in way too small cages... Doesn't feel good that I contributed to that. I do not recommend visiting this place.
  • We have stayed several days here staff and Mrs. Judy are amazing people! We loved here I was crying to say good bey to Buttercup :,( Boat ride on the river and babies in the incubators are magical experience!
  • Loved everything except the Boat Ride only thing holding me back from giving this place 5 Stars everything else was very good and informative.
  • Over 200 sloths are kept in tiny cages hidden from the view of tourists. Unless you ask searching questions, all you see are half a dozen 'happy sloths' out front. The life of the caged sloths is one of misery - they can be there for decades in barren wire cages, solitary animals packed in with so many others that they seriously injure each other. I bitterly regret visiting this place and increasing the wealth of the owners who clearly do not put the money back into caring for sloths. The volunteer programme was closed down because too many volunteers spoke about what they saw happening. Please do not support this place by visiting. Wild sloths can be seen in the nature reserve a short distance away in Cahuita.
