  • We have the insiders tour, and we had luck, that we were the only two that afternoon!! [tour of Max. 6 pers.]. The first part, of the very informative tour, is in a group. It's not cheap, but you support the sanctuary, with this amount $150 pp. The beautiful, of the insiders tour is that your lunch to a nice place on the water and that you in the baby sloths may, this is really too sweet for words!! The sloths, must not be touched, since this animal may exhibit, forever by his slowness, as he might be experiencing, at strange. For this reason, they take no more volunteers. When you here is coming from, you know really very much, about this unique slow, but certainly no lazy animals. A very exclusive and as said before, a life-changing experience!!

  • This was truly one of the highlights of our trip. This rescue center is a must! You see the babies up to the 20-year old paraplegic sloth "Bruno". They really care!! We did the 4-hour "insider tour" b...  more »
  • There are options, we chose the tour de U$ S30 per person. Includes one hour by boat through a channel where we saw sloths and monkeys congos, apart from the vegetation. And an hour of talk where explains about the lazy and the stories of those who are there, are that not can reintegrate into the wildlife by problems such as the loss of a limb or his eyes. The fact to help in any way we liked much and more than anything else. Recommended!

  • It was not as I expected. They tell you they save animals and put them back in the forest, but I didn't see any prove of that. The only thing I saw was beautiful handicapped creatures that were in way too small cages... Doesn't feel good that I contributed to that. I do not recommend visiting this place.
  • We have stayed several days here staff and Mrs. Judy are amazing people! We loved here I was crying to say good bey to Buttercup :,( Boat ride on the river and babies in the incubators are magical experience!
  • Loved everything except the Boat Ride only thing holding me back from giving this place 5 Stars everything else was very good and informative.
  • This was one of the most educational and interesting places I've ever visited. A must if you are in the region. And go for the full tour with the baby sloth NICU.
  • Really friendly, passionate and funny guide, informative introduction into different species of sloths. I would do it again any day!
