  • Where sublime! We loved this park, the Trek is rather easy and sublime beaches bordering the Park allow to cool off and relaxing breaks, the animals were not really to go despite the fact that we have 2 times the park but the framework and the vegetation are so worth the trip a true paradise! To do it without hesitation! I have made the Trek in flip flops so not complicated!

  • Fun family outing, shaded and next to the Sea you can see different animals and insects of the place, the lush flora. The Park is well maintained and the trail is wide and without slopes. It must be borne in mind that there will be many visitors in the same path especially if you go by Cahuita, Vargas, there are fewer people in general. Ideal for a day at the beach with some trekking. The input is voluntary and there are bathroom just at the beginning. Beware of raccoons who like to bring you your food.

  • A nice Park, perhaps the most beautiful among those visited during my tour of Costa Rica, is also free, you enter bidding held. You can visit independently or with one of the guides that are located at the entrance (I forget which one digit), we took both inputs, once alone X enjoy the sea is a time for enjoying the Park. The animals are really many, and remember: monkeys, sloths, birds, iguanas, basilisk, snakes, raccoons etc. forest and sea: the caribe, but nothing to do with the Caribbean, here everything is very wild, there are waves and animals (trying also to scrounging something to eat from bags of patrons!) really very nice! Our guide (I think her name was Jacky) spoke quite a bit of Italian, we did see so many animals and told us a lot of curiosity about animals, the forest and the plants and on the lives of local people.

  • Beautiful. Stunning swimming! Lots of wildlife to enjoy. Apparently we were lucky not to have loads of mosquitoes, but we were lucky! 😁
  • Wear good walking shoes. Do NOT bother with a guide- you will be pressured at the entrance but just avoid it- they did point out a few animals here and there but they are visible if you look up...unless you just have no clue and want them to be with you.personally I was happier when they left bc the main one just kept pushing for more money. Just a clue- when there is an animal To be seen- you’ll be clued in by others Stopped and looking up. There is some beautiful beach and picnic spots so bring a little something to eat and drink so you can stay longer. I brought bug wipes with deer but was never Bothered by any bugs on th beach. There is a less busy side to enter this park- the Punta Vargas side-way less crowded.
  • Amazing place! You need to walk fully through the park and take a bus then back to Cahuita. Amazing experience!!!
  • Free entrance fron Cahuita town. Nice walk but too many people
  • Nice national park, when if not one of the prettiest on on the Caribbean side if Costa Rica. We recommend to take an local tour guide, they can show you so many animals already on first few meters of the path. And take enough water and snacks with you. Depending on on weather's you can swim and chill on fine beaches too or even snorkel on the reefs (only with guide, but they will be so honest and inform you, when the conditions are the best).
