  • We paid the visit along with a snorkel reef trip. We could not see them properly since the water was very choppy by the rains. The excursion to the National Park was fabulous as the guide had been in charge of the Park and knew him inside out. We could see all kinds of Wildlife Park and the explanations were first rate and entertaining. Highly recommended!

  • Easy walking, good for swimming in the sea, logs of wildlife and Nice views. We saw a very dangerous snake , monkeys and a raccoon . Rather busy in the weekend
  • Its famous white sandy beaches and coral reefs, its warm waters and its tropical forest make the P. N. Cahuita a destination in the Caribbean of Costa Rica and one of the places most attractions of the Caribbean. Dive among the reefs is an unforgettable experience due to the large expanse of its barrier reef in variety of colors and shapes to the great variety of underwater fauna, all kinds of tropical fish, blankets rays, lobsters and sharks among others... Walking path of 8 km. you can enjoy the tropical forest and its wildlife, see monkeys, sloths, raccoons, frogs and birds of paradise in your path...

  • A bohemian and exuberant ambient is expecting you in Cahuita. Enjoy the white sand beach and the nicely paved streets. This small town has everything to relax and forget about work for a weekend.
  • I am so glad we came back. First time here was rainy season and were a little disappointed; second time around with sun and no clouds was stunning though. Good trek next to the beach and nice tropical/jungle views. Good activity for the day.
  • IMPORTANT: if you enter via the southern gate (as suggested in an earlier review) you'll be required to pay $5usd per person. This is the vehicle gate and is administered by a separate municipality. Otherwise we enjoyed the park a lot. Walking the opposite way meant we saw howler monkeys, a 2 toed sloth, a yellow hanging viper (amongst the green and yellow leaves right by the trail - look out!), small hawks, coconut crabs, pelicans, a coati, white faced capucins, various types of local squirrel. Walk slowly and quietly and its pretty amazing what's there to spot!
  • This is a nice place to stop when cruising to this port. The people explained how chocolate is made in this country which is very different than what we are used to. They also walk you around and show you the native plants and how they are used medicinally. The guides the cruise line used were very good.
  • Beautiful park! Free entry which is nice! The beach is very pretty in this area, not as pretty as the pacific side of Costa Rica in my opinion but still nice.
