Rio Perdido Reviews
Spent the day lounging in the pools with natural hot water. Then had a great lunch in the beautiful open air dinning area. The entire restaurant is Teak! more »
One of the best places I ever visited in the world it has the most relaxing and also the most exercise I have done in a long time. The hot springs do not even compared to Arneal. The river rafting and... more »
We stopped at Rio Perdido to do some mountain bike riding on the trails. The resort is very unique. The rooms are not connected to the main building of the resort, but are cabins of the main road and ... more »
The rooms were nice and clean. We enjoyed a night hike where we saw a wide range of night creatures. Ariel and Alfonso were our guides and they did a great job finding snakes, scorpions and other animals for us. The food was also very good. Hector was our waiter for one of the nights we stayed and he did a great job making sure we were well taken care of. The natural hot springs were super quiet and relaxing. We had drinks one of the nights and Kendall/Hector did a great job making our drinks for us.
We took a drive to check out Rio Perdido and our family enjoyed the place so much we decided that we will have to back and spend more time there. The hot river was amazingly beautiful and it was a nice hike. The lunch and setting over looking the landscspe and pool area was a nice treat as well. We would recommend a visit to Rio Perdido! Looking forward to next visit!
While at our stay at Rio Perdido we experienced some very friendly staff, and nothing but fun and adventure. If you only go to stay there, everything you need or want is on site and right there so you dont have to worrie about going any where. Roy, and Emanuel at the front desk were awesome with helping plan our adventures/activities. They were very knowledgeable about things to do on, and of the property. Hector served us just about ever day at the restaurant and as very accommodating with our requests. We did every activity there is on site with Jonathan, and he was an awesome guide. There is a night hike we did with Ariel and he pointed out several plants, animals, and other Insects in the jungle. We did get a chance to meet the general manager Estuardo, who told us all about the property and how it came to be. The thermal pools and creek are amazing. Non the less this is an amazing establishment with lots of relaxation built in.
The receptionist was amazing! The facilities themselves are also high quality and really enjoyable. Although the food was flavorful and well cooked the wait staff and kitchen took a really long time to serve us. Our meal time lasted about 2 and a half hours. The service at the pool bar was also something that we had to wait quite a while to recieve even though once it was there it was great. The ziplining canopy tour was a really cool experience. The guides however were pushy and inconsiderate of my hesitancies and fears. There is a little hanging bridge and I know they have a secure line on it but I watched the guy bounce the bridge up and down on the people in front of us and when I asked him not to do that for me (even said it in Spanish) he pretended he couldnt hear me and then proceeded to do it to me.
Super nice! Very friendly staff with lots of knowledge of the surroundings. Good food and drinks. Rooms were up to good standards and very clean. The one thing to improve is the road to get there.. A bit long and bumpy.
