Arenal Volcano (Volcan Arenal), Arenal Volcano National Park
(3.7/5 based on 900 reviews on the web)
Arenal Volcano (Volcan Arenal) attracts nature lovers and adventurers with its lush scenery and wide range of outdoor activities. Hike through the jungle and on a lava flow trail, across hanging bridges and up the slope of the dormant volcano. The first recorded eruption occurred in 1968, when lava and ashes destroyed three little towns on its west side. The last explosion happened at the end of 2010. In the absence of spewing lava, get your adrenaline pumping with some waterfall rappelling or ziplining. • Amazing site to see. Take the kids. We stayed at The Springs and had a beautiful view of the Volcano all day.
  • The entry fee is expensive. $15 for adults, $5 for children. Expensive to make some simple hiking. But we had a nice time. Beautiful view of the volcano which was clear. We had the chance to see an anteater and a snake in the middle of the trail, which is, however, clear. No problem on the course. My son aged 4 to market all along with no problems. Just think of water, grab a snack.
