Wonderful gardens to walk around and soak in ... a range of plants, trees and flowers. I found even the beehives.

Beautiful gardens with so many lovely tropical trees and flowers. A lot of work goes into them. The cafe is a hidden gem (the name Hidden Spirit Cafe is appropriate). We had a delicious meal as well as making some purchases from their gift shop.

Nice gardens to wander through. We didn't try the cafe.

The best place to experience the flowers and trees of the tropical Cook Islands, we walked through the vast gardens which were all well maintained and beautiful. There was a $5 donation at the entrance, which was well worth it, and a lovely cafe inside which had a great selection of salads and deserts. It was a pleasant walk through the gardens, and something that I'm glad to have visited.

Where to stay in Rarotonga

Since pristine white beaches and turquoise lagoons are never far away in Rarotonga, where you stay depends entirely on how much you want to spend. The hotels and resorts tend to cluster around the most scenic beaches and lagoons. At the higher end, luxury resorts offer pampering comfort, but often share their beaches with much more affordable accommodations. If you want to explore a certain part of the island, look for lodgings nearby: although the buses are extremely convenient, they tend to meander at a very slow pace.
