Aroa Marine Reserve, Rarotonga

(4.8/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Considered one of the world's finest snorkeling spots, Aroa Marine Reserve is a protected lagoon featuring crystal-clear water and droves of fish. This natural breeding ground provides a safe home for butterfly fish, sea bream, octopi, clams, and moray eels. Snorkeling gear and diving tours are available from the onsite resort or the dive center. Avoid stepping on coral while snorkeling, but do not worry about watching out for boats, because they are not allowed in the lagoon. A visit to Aroa Marine Reserve represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Rarotonga trip generator to plot your vacation.
