  • This Cathedral comes from the 15TH century and is distinguished by its Gothic Renaissance and neoclassic style. It was built between 1567 and 1574. Its façade is of three naves and a transept, as hemispherical dome and hexagonal drum of the dome adorned with Lantern. It has large works in oil of the Italian Angelino Medoro and artist Haredia Bogotano Alfonso Hernandez. In one of their ships lie the remains of the founder of Tunja, Mr Gonzalo Surez Rendón. It is worth to be visited by friends and strangers.
