Visit Paseo El Camellon and stroll the peaceful promenade stretching along the calm Caribbean coast. The first Spanish European settlers disembarked from their ships at these shores and initiated the founding of the city. Statues as well as restaurants line the promenade; if you're peckish, here's your chance to sample some tasty local cuisine. If visiting at the end of the day, you'll be treated to a picturesque sunset. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Santa Marta holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Paseo El Camellon and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Santa Marta is a city that offers many options to do at night, but no doubt walk here is something that one does not have to stop making, is safe, quiet, lit, very nice. Day is also good but the heat is stifling, you can instead of night do more relaxed now than the low temperature. There are some statues of Aboriginals of the area which are very showy and if you like to go out, also walking you can enjoy a drink as there are some shops in the area and for good measure is the casino out there. Do not leave Santa Marta without visiting this place.
