Paseo El Camellon, Santa Marta

(3.5/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
Visit Paseo El Camellon and stroll the peaceful promenade stretching along the calm Caribbean coast. The first Spanish European settlers disembarked from their ships at these shores and initiated the founding of the city. Statues as well as restaurants line the promenade; if you're peckish, here's your chance to sample some tasty local cuisine. If visiting at the end of the day, you'll be treated to a picturesque sunset. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Santa Marta holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Paseo El Camellon and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • We must walk this remodeled public space. Many sculptures, greenery and sea with rocky Spurs. Live a sunset there, or spend evenings in a walk in chiva visit the monument, take a picture, and walk by the Avenida Rodrigo de Bastidas (Cra. 1 he who founded the city (en) and also called Yuma River as Magdalena, the April 1, 1501, in honor of the conversion of Magdalena María. Note: Remember, above all, pass in the mornings by the Museum of the Bank of the Republic, the Customs House and the Cathedral, all very close walk.

  • Beautiful promenade, you can make beautiful walks without problems, there are only taxis that as in all of South america they sound to search for customers, there are also bus stops to all destinations in the area, stop by request and sometimes you gotta take the fly, is part of the feature of the country. A lot of statues of Indians a big bad, but not that I personally find their sculptor depends on author but by Indians.

  • The sunsets are beautiful because you can walk along the pier, see the boats and the most beautiful of all: the Sun at its peak and the mixture of the sea with the sky, there are also many sculptures in homage to the Tayrona culture.
