  • For those who love story is the place where he is buried the founder of the city. The Church is very old, but I have my doubts about whether it is the same location of his grave.

  • Built in the year 1765, it is the first Catholic basilica in South America. Is a cathedral very valuable and beautiful of the architecture colonial, with style Renaissance. Or it piracy, them earthquakes or the floods of the Manzanares, or them clashes in its inside between Goths and cachiporros, it ended. It is famous for that there were for 8 years, 7 months and 4 days offal fatal Simón Bolívar, liberator and father of Colombia, until they were exhumed and brought to Caracas, following its full willingness and clause 10a of the Testament. According to the Bolivarian society for Santa Marta Magdalena "vacuum was large but fell your heart in San Pedro Alejandrino, where the city always rekindles the flame of reverent memory." To visit it!

  • The Cathedral of Santa Marta is beautiful, located in the Center historical, is a place appropriate to pray and comfort are of the heat. By my experience went to the celebration of the mass (ritual Catholic), and was an experience very nice, is recommended go preferably in the night that the climate is more fresh.

  • I love this place, it is a beautiful square where you can see the cathedral and white old houses, with a lot of history. Do not miss when you visit Santa Marta downtown.
  • Nice enough, it's worth checking out at sunset for best light. There is also food stands nearby that do cheap food at night.
  • Not worth travelling for specifically. Worth a look if you're there
