4.1/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web
The region's oldest settlement, Centro Historico Santa Fe de Antioquia retains the character and feel of a centuries old Colombian pueblo. Whitewash houses line the narrow cobblestone streets as you head towards the main plaza, the social center of the town. See the Puente de Occidente, a suspension bridge over the Cauca River and one of the longest in South America. Expect to feel the heat a bit more here as the town sits in a valley between the Cauca and the Tonuzco River. Head here from Medellin via the Tunel de Occidente, the largest tunnel in South America, making for a quick and easy day trip getaway. • I've been to Santa Fe for a couple of days, the town is small and it runs fine. It is pleasant and the atmosphere is great. Worth a few days of relaxation in a nice hotel or resort.

  • It's a beautiful place, it has a historic centre, very well maintained, which to me as a historian is very interesting. There is a small museum that tells the story of the place, two flowery plazas, hotels and restaurants. But, only! In less than 1 hour you end up the route in the city. And what to do after? Well, you can go visit a bridge which is one of the sights of the city which is about 5 km away and can get out of cab. Or relax in some hotel pool, because there is muuuuuuuuuuuuito hot and I'm from Bethlehem.
