Primera Iglesia Bautista, San Andres

Perched atop a hill, Primera Iglesia Bautista features sweeping views across nearly the entire island. Originally constructed in 1847 with pine wood imported all the way from Alabama, the Baptist church very much recalls the look of the American South, with its paneled exterior and red roof. Pay a visit to the historical building, which can seat close to 1,000 people, and explore its spartan interior, complete with dark wood furnishings and an upper level of pews. Afterwards, you can climb up the spiral staircase within the steeple to get an even better panorama of the surrounding landscape and ocean. • If you want to climb the belfry has to pay. The place is simple, but has your historical value. It's worth going with a guide to meet her.

  • The first baptist church was closed due to a funeral, but the views around it were spectacular. Head a little further to the second baptist church which you can access spectacular views also, and you can climb the stairs from the outside even if it's closed or there's a service on.
  • The best place of the Island First Baptist Church.
  • Hello wies
  • A beautiful little church, with an interesting story related to the end of slavery. With a short film he travels in time and with imagination. It's all a bit in the style of "Sister Act", really worth seeing! The people are very kind. From the tower you can see the entire island. Entrance costs 5000 pesos. Deserves.

  • The entrance has a cost of $5,000 Colombian. They show a video of 10 minutes in the history of the Church. Go up to the bell tower where you have a view of the city on both sides of the island. It is nice.
