Primera Iglesia Bautista, San Andres

Perched atop a hill, Primera Iglesia Bautista features sweeping views across nearly the entire island. Originally constructed in 1847 with pine wood imported all the way from Alabama, the Baptist church very much recalls the look of the American South, with its paneled exterior and red roof. Pay a visit to the historical building, which can seat close to 1,000 people, and explore its spartan interior, complete with dark wood furnishings and an upper level of pews. Afterwards, you can climb up the spiral staircase within the steeple to get an even better panorama of the surrounding landscape and ocean. • Charge you to speak two words, it is a common Church. Not be spent on the stairs that are thousands because the view has nothing to say

  • It is a history of the island but that only calls attention to those who have religious interests...

  • The architecture is beautiful despite the construction, interesting time to climb the tower to see the island of Providence, and contemplate the beautiful colors of the sea of San Andrés. For those who appreciate the art is welcome to visit it.

  • The first baptist church was closed due to a funeral, but the views around it were spectacular. Head a little further to the second baptist church which you can access spectacular views also, and you can climb the stairs from the outside even if it's closed or there's a service on.
  • The best place of the Island First Baptist Church.
  • Hello wies
  • 360° view of the whole island, very tall, not recommended for people with Vertigo or phobia of heights

  • First Baptist Church called "Emmanuel", is regarded as the oldest American in its temple, because its construction dates from 1947. Pine wood brought from Alabama was used to build it. From the Centre of San Andrés, stands in the distance, when viewed from any point around the island. Its construction is of red roof, and is situated in the part more high of the island called "La Loma".
