Find yourself immersed in day-to-day Caribbean islander life with a visit to Parque Tematico El Pueblito Isleno San Andres. The theme park strives to increase education about the Raizales, a Protestant Afro-American ethnic group from San Andres. Set in front of traditional, colorful houses, 35 life-sized sculptures of characters decorate the park, depicting common islander scenes such as a grandmother braiding hair or boys playing dominoes. The park works to preserve aspects of culture, dignity, and memory of the native Raizal people.
