Cave
The legend of hidden treasure lures tourists to Morgan's Cave, allegedly the site of pirate Henry Morgan's buried bounty. Some 120 m (400 ft) deep, the cave can only be viewed from its mouth, but remains a part of nearly every tour of San Andres Island. A replica of the cave and Morgan's boat help bring the legend to life, while staff performs the traditional mento dance. Hear stories of the Caribbean's pirate past, while getting a look at modern island culture. Put Morgan's Cave on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our San Andres Island itinerary planner.

  • Place set in the time of the pirate with guides who tell their story and perform dances of the period with costumes

  • Although it is a good funny site, I do not recommend it, staff is very monotonous and boring, you are interested just get out fast to the group, up to give explanations or do a recount in the stories, is so fast travel who do not wait to take pictures and promise to the tourists that we can return, but close locations. It would be good, but changing the staff that caters especially to the guides. He would not again if you continue this administration, original Morgan's Cave, they don't clean it, it is very dirty and smelly

  • It is a cultural attraction, however I think that it is very expensive for what is displayed and also the people who make the trip do not give time to the tourists take pictures, so you get to losing of travel information. Disorganization, denoting the guides poorly presented.

  • Beaches, specially El Acuario visited until 2pm are among the best in the Caribe. However, San Andrés as a city lacks of classy tourism facilities, organization, cleanliness, amenities, etc.
  • Can be managed better. Too costly entrance ticket of 5$
  • Apart the caves you can appreciate typical dances of the island, the coconut museum and other attractions, take repellent for mosquitoes.
  • That's so so. the staffs hurry everybody up all the time and not that interesting.
  • The tour is not organized and the guides make no effort to pass the information about the place and history. You can take some funny pictures... But don't dare to try the tasting of the local liquor.. They reuse the plastic cups without washing!!
