Morgan's Cave, San Andres

(1/5 based on 2,200+ reviews on the web)
The legend of hidden treasure lures tourists to Morgan's Cave, allegedly the site of pirate Henry Morgan's buried bounty. Some 120 m (400 ft) deep, the cave can only be viewed from its mouth, but remains a part of nearly every tour of San Andres Island. A replica of the cave and Morgan's boat help bring the legend to life, while staff performs the traditional mento dance. Hear stories of the Caribbean's pirate past, while getting a look at modern island culture. Put Morgan's Cave on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our San Andres Island itinerary planner.

  • The value of the entry seems expensive for what it is. The Museum seemed to be not providing something new or interesting. The people who made that tour seemed boring and with little mood to captivate the tourist. I do not return nor recommend it

  • We went but as the visit was guided and only in Spanish, we toured only and quickly. Interesting for those who like history. Magnificent cave.

  • The cave is no big deal and museums are directly bad. They have over 3 enclosed tortoises in a playpen very small drinking water rotted and the ray of the Sun that twist you the stomach. Not worth a go!
