  • For those who not only enjoy the beach, and like to know a little more of the flora and fauna of the place, is a good place to visit, you have to pay an entrance fee, and take you on the journey with a guide... they have a vantage point that allows you to see all the panoramic view of the island and if you are lucky you can see some animals to the place.

  • Botanical Garden opening hours 9 am to 17 pm. Income of 10,000 COP includes the guided view. It is a place that belongs to the National University of Colombia, located in the center of the island in the place called Harmony Hall Hill. The main complex consists of a laboratory, Herbarium and nursery and garden Glosologico introduces us to the world of Botany, showing us the evolution of species from the most primitive to the most specialized. The main path displays the most representative of the island plants and cultural uses "raizal" (natives) gave them. There are three trails with the square of the English Puritans who shows plants introduced by settlers in the island, the small square of the Sorrel or Flor de Jamaica whose flowers have a deep red color with which typical drinks are prepared and the Square of the bread tree, whose fruits were used to feed the slaves. This square you can see the summarized history of Captain William Bligh and mutiny suffered in 1787 by the rationing of drinking water provided for the crew to be used in the plants of trees of carrying and bread that was made into a film in the movie "Mutiny on board" (1962) starring Marlon Brando

  • Some great beaches. BUT the island is a tourist trap beware. Also its like one great big shopping centre that claims to be duty free, check the prices carefully as most clothes stores are more like end of line shops and no great savings.
  • A wonderful island, IMHO more Caribbean than others more famous. Tourists can be a bit of a nuance, especially during high season. But overall it still retains a true Caribbean spirit. Even better is its sister, Providence Island, which is even more remote than San Andrés. But it's more expensive than more difficult to reach. So, if you still want to experience the Caribbean and not spend a lot, San Andrés is the island for you. I suggest you travel the island throughout, it's full of little surprises, not all of them well known.
  • Beautiful white sandy beaches in this island where you can see a lot of fauna and flora wherever you are in the sea. I personally like hotels far from the centre as the transport is easy, it's quieter, cleaner and there are not many people in the beach. If you go there, please keep the beach and the place clean. Its such a beautiful island
  • Amazing beaches, food and people. The only real downside are the amount of tourists. A Beautiful Island I'd love to return to in the future.
  • Excellent place! You will find Warming people , security and a lot of fun!
