Blow Hole, San Andres

(1/5 based on 3,800+ reviews on the web)
Don't stand too close to Blow Hole, or you might get soaked. The small hole in the ground, located at the southern end of San Andres Island, shoots up incredibly strong jets of water when waves crash into the shore. Due to a series of underground coral formations, the water and air become so pressurized that they are forced straight up, creating the fountain-like phenomenon. • It's a natural hole in the rocks of the soil that makes q, when a wave is strong enough, the water out of that hole with force and a gust of wind that you wet is generated. Nothing more than that... The rest of the place is neglected and, obviously, crowded of sellers

  • We came here by accident when we were driving around the island. Yes the hole was there and some water came from like one meter in the air - but that's about it. Nothing to see here really.
  • Appreciate the Hoyo Soplador was one of my great experiences, as passionate about the sea and its ecosystems. On the site there is a restaurant and several bars where you can buy typical cocktails by 12000 COP. The view to the sea and the coastal Rocky, ecosystem of the pit blower is sublime. I enjoyed much of being in that place.
