  • San Agustin was one of our main destinations in Colombia, and we were not disappointed. The park was everything we hoped it would be - beautiful, interesting, memorable, and enlightening. The statues ...  more »
  • It is a magical place. Since you get to understand why settled in this place. It is pretty cool and full of trees. You can not believe that there are so many sculptures and carvings are beautiful. Our guide Hernan was commissioned to give us all the talk of a pleasant and enjoyable way and did not feel the almost 4 hours we did travel. A place not to be missed when visiting Huila.

  • The Park has an excellent museum with sculptures and ceramics. Explanatory panels in English and Spanish. Forest of statues. Clear in the jungle forest called bedside tables with tombs and numerous statues with anthropomorphic beings and animals (birds, reptiles, Batrachians...). It is heritage (fully deserved). Not too many people, which makes the extremely pleasant visit. Bring raincoat and water, although it has facilities and services with sale of drinks and tentenpies. The visit includes the fountain of Lavapatas and height of the same name with a breathtaking view. There are other nearby archaeological sites. Visit the best way is to hire a 4 x 4 with Guide (some 200,000 pesos for 4 people).

  • There is absolutely loads to see here, my one regret is not getting a guide to show me around. However, there are plenty of signs explaining the history in English and Spanish. My only issue was the park was pretty expensive in comparison to other activities within the area. However, I did enjoy myself and the views from the top were pretty damn spectacular.
  • Great park. Rich in history. Lots of open spaces and some great spots for photos and views.
  • Great historical place. There is a nice little museum to get some background but the main thing is to see all of the stone statues. There is plenty to see here.
  • Great museum many statues that represented ancient believes and cultures
  • An awesome Archaeology Park tucked away in a thick and beautiful jungle. It took me and my girlfriend about 4 hours to walk through it and we really enjoyed seeing all these sculptures. I would suggest going early in the morning as it tends to rain in the afternoon here in st. Augustine.
