Estrecho del Magdalena, San Agustin

Categories: Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web
Observe the sculpting power of a fast river current at Estrecho del Magdalena. Here the Magdalena River surges through a small pass between the rocks, leaving very visible signs of erosion in its wake and sculpting formations over time. Take in the scenery as you listen to water crashing against the rocks. A statue of the virgin Mary sits perched up on a cliff observing the forces of nature. Bring your own refreshments, as there are no amenities here, and travel to nearby sites is via unpaved roads. • This place is a must-see when visiting St. Augustine. The atmosphere is excellent, see the force of the river is wonderful, and in general a place makes all the environment to share with family or friends. It is perhaps important to point out that I believe that it does lack security for visitors since no barriers that prevent approaching the edge and cases of fall River have already occurred. Otherwise I thought it was one of the best attractions in St. Augustine. On the site you get snacks typical of the region and handicrafts at a great price

  • Back from the Museum of Obando, good view to admire the impressive River Magdalena reduced to the minimum, of course, that if deep, correntoso and respectable.
