Estrecho del Magdalena, San Agustin

4.5
#3 of 8 in Things to do in San Agustin
Observe the sculpting power of a fast river current at Estrecho del Magdalena. Here the Magdalena River surges through a small pass between the rocks, leaving very visible signs of erosion in its wake and sculpting formations over time. Take in the scenery as you listen to water crashing against the rocks. A statue of the virgin Mary sits perched up on a cliff observing the forces of nature. Bring your own refreshments, as there are no amenities here, and travel to nearby sites is via unpaved roads.
