  • The mouth of the Rancheria River in the sea can be seen from the ridge. I like that along the alameda several women feel to sell their handicrafts such as backpacks, hammocks of various colors, which make beautify the place. The sunsets are wonderful to appreciate them from this place.

  • Personally, I took a bus on route to access Palomino beaches to the city of Riohacha, which cost me 10,000. From the terminal, I took a taxi to the tourist malecon and went through it from end to end. It is a wonderful thing, the number and variety of handicrafts from La Guajira there are, however, not compared with the handicrafts made more North. The streets are clean, there are several food stalls. The malecón is a beauty, and even if passes it enough people, they are mostly families. It is a place that remains quiet despite the number of vehicles. In a part of the Boardwalk, you will find access to a very long Pier that gets into the sea. At least the day I went, was quite windy, so be careful with hats. The beaches of Riohacha are well crowded but have an almost unique family warmth. There is so many sellers as at other beaches, but it is not so quiet as Palomino. The landscapes are simply beautiful them you look at. Later already almost at the end of the Boardwalk will find a part grass, sand and stones on the beach where a huge birds roost. It is important to give space to the fauna, not rid them because they are really good. At this point of the Boardwalk and beach there is many people transiting, and on this side I haven't seen people bathing (probably the amount of rocks). To return, as the bus station is across the city, I decided to take a taxi. Bus to Santa Marta (Center) has a cost of 20,000. I took the company express Brasilia and actually went pretty well. All vehicles with air conditioning. Arriving at the terminal, vendors come to want to sell the passage, I recommend to take buses from companies like express Brasilia or sedans that are safe, clean and comfortable.
