  • Although the name of the reserve is Mc Bean Lagoon covering Crab Cay, Three Brothers Cay, etc. MC Bean Lagoon is a lagoon teeming with mangroves in the Maracaibo Bay Bay. The only way to arrive is from the sea via a spectacular "tunnel" of mangroves until it opens up and gives way to the lagoon. The place is extremely quiet with some birds among the mangroves, fish, jellyfish, etc. What I think the best is renting a kayak stuck to the Deep Blue hotel, go to CrabCay (at noon when it is because excursions are gone) and then go to the McBean Lagoon (the entrance in Crab Cay also serves as access to Mc Bean Lagoon) from Crab Cay to the lagoon are 40 minutes paddling (depending on the wind). If you need more information I write.
