  • Coming on foot from the area of Yambitara the contrast between the chaos of the busy street full of vendors, jobs in dingy shops and courses and the colonial Center is remarkable; the bridge is the iconic crossing point.

  • It is a majestic space that allows you to get closer to the payanesa history. If you go to Popayán don't forget to pass by it

  • It's a beautiful bridge and nothing beyond that. Also part of the architectural ensemble and the importance that the city had in history.

  • A space that combines the best of many #Culturas. #Presente and #Pasado are mixed under the #Iconica of the #PuenteDelHumilladero #Arquitectura

  • It was built in 1873 on arches of brick and calicanto, by Fray Serafín Barbetti and a German engineer between the city centre and the alley quarter (what is now the Bolivar district). At the point in which it was built had a hill too steep so people had to climb almost on his knees, hence its name. It functioned as one of the main entrances to the city, is currently a place tourist near the Bank of the Republic library.
