  • A very old bridge, its construction and its arches have been constructed in brick, very nice, well kept and good safety by the police. I could never know because it has that name of Shrine.

  • The bridge is highly touted for historical reasons but the view is not of particular interest. Anyway you see going around the city

  • We had read that the bridge was covered in rubbish and graffiti but on going there we found this to be untrue. The bridge is pretty and nice to see while in Popayan. Not much more to it but worth walk...  more »

  • A space that combines the best of many #Culturas. #Presente and #Pasado are mixed under the #Iconica of the #PuenteDelHumilladero #Arquitectura

  • It was built in 1873 on arches of brick and calicanto, by Fray Serafín Barbetti and a German engineer between the city centre and the alley quarter (what is now the Bolivar district). At the point in which it was built had a hill too steep so people had to climb almost on his knees, hence its name. It functioned as one of the main entrances to the city, is currently a place tourist near the Bank of the Republic library.
