Parque Caldas, Popayan

Categories: Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.5/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web
Step away from the hustle and bustle of the city and head to Parque Caldas, a picturesque, verdant, and vibrant plaza at the heart of town. With a history dating back to the beginnings of the city of Popayan itself in 1537, the park has since undergone renovation to become the modernised and metropolitan green space it is today. Vendors along the sidewalks offer refreshingly cool drinks or regional snacks if you get peckish. Pay special attention to the gleaming white colonial buildings that flank the plaza on all sides.
