  • the ascent from el Cedral is incredibly hard, but you can differentiate the landscapes and temperature changes. When you get to the paramo you run out of breath, and the lagoon in a whole is simply beautiful.

  • Most of the water consumed by the city is here, and that was the reason (and the frailejones) by which visit this place so wonderful where problems and chaos are dropped off 50 km away, where you can appreciate the beautiful this world. superecomendado! But if you like the challenges I recommend going to this place via Pereira - the florida-El cedral-La Shepherdess.

  • The journey towards the laguna del Otún is done in 3 hours more or less, is a relatively mild walk, recomendadisima for those who are planning to climb the nevado, in order to acclimate to the environment. On the road you can see rabbits, eagles, beautiful landscapes like the Valley of frailejones and waterfalls that feed the Lake. Bring the rain tent.
