Established by a collective of Colombian coffee growers in 1995, Parque del Cafe aims to educate adults about coffee, while also providing an entertaining environment for children. Enjoy adrenalin-pumping rides like the Krater and Aquatic Mountain, or go for an educational experience at one of many coffee-themed museums and demonstrations. Take a spin on the longest roller coaster in Colombia--perhaps symbolic of the ups and downs of drinking too much coffee. Put Parque del Cafe into our Montenegro vacation trip planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

As it was a day during the week in low season it was not too crowded and you could tour the place with tranquility. They have expanded the supply of mechanical attractions: roller coasters and others for fun for the whole family. There are three entry passports, according to what one wants to do: from the Basic ($26 thousand pesos), which includes seven attractions ($50 pesos per person) through to the 65 thousand pesos of which enables to enjoy almost all of the attractions. There is a good deal of food, with several places and wide and varied restaurants. You get from pizza to dishes like the Paisa tray. The kindness of the managers of the Park is worth noting it: always willing to help the visitor to make your stay better. It can not be upload to the gondola, the ski lifts and travel on the train. Also it is worth walking along the path up to the fancy and the Park myths. Without doubts an experience to repeat, with family and children as there are car rental service for baby to make it easier for parents to this visit.

Download a map and organize your hike, so don't end up going around in circles. For children there are parks and some rides, carousel and parks. Lunch is cheap, I mean, average 15 thousand dollars bring: comfortable shoes, umbrella, Cap.

Certainly it isn't huge but it has attractions for all the family (Wild River, krater, rapidos, roller coaster...) combining pleasure and culture. The park features lush vegetation, a Museum of coffee, a coffee show and pretty nice restaurants, fast food...

Great park for families, variety of options to eat. Although for little kids not much options, a month ago they rised the high for kids so my 4 years old didn't have much options to ride. They should Lower the price for little ones. Otherwise nice park, very clean, a lot of green. Highly recommended.

It's a great Colombian theme park centered around coffee. It provides a great combination of high impact rides as well as coffee themed attractions. It's a great place to have fun and learn a bit about Colombia and it's main export.

Absolutely one of the best places in Colombia. If you want to know where and how the best coffee of the world is produced you have to go there. The landscapes are amazing and you can have some fun with horse riding, slow karts and some other rides.

Lovely park with great views, and a fun day out. Only downside (if with a small child) is the limited number of attractions for under 90cm tall children. (Although not much to complain as they go free) Park is clean and fun. Went on a quiet day and had no queue for attractions. The main rollercoaster was however closed with no mention of it at the entrance.

It has everything for everyone. The cultural part the history of coffee in Colombia and spectacular dance show, and typical cafe city and for the adventurous it has rollercoasters both water and regular.

Where to stay in Montenegro
Despite its growing popularity with foreign visitors, Montenegro remains little more than a mountain village with very limited tourist infrastructure. Expect few hotels, and consider checking into a guesthouse near the popular coffee park, which serves as the area's one major attraction. Alternatively, you can stay at one of Montenegro's coffee farms--many rent single rooms or suites with shared cooking and dining areas.
