  • It is a particle of street-traders, vague and people that spend making laps there and gather to give the blessing of the Virgin and pray two or listen to tre some fathers until the mass.

  • Beautiful church, located in the pure heart of Medellin. Although the structure is nice, what draws attention is the contrast with its surroundings, because a bit of the dark side of the city is out. My recommendation is to visit it day, hopefully with some local, and if not as if having a little care of pickpockets.

  • For who likes of churches and is in the Center, worth the visit. A church right in central area in the midst of walking which dominates the local trade.

  • The minor Basilica of our Lady of Candelaria or simply Church of La Candelaria, as it is more popularly known, is a temple of Catholic worship dedicated to the Virgin Mary under the title of la Candelaria. It is located in the Centre of the city of Medellín, Colombia, to the eastern side of the Park of Berrío, was Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Medellin between 1868 and 1931, when this title became the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. It is a colonial, neoclassical-style building, plant rectangular, with three naves and a transept. Its structure built in stone walls and built in cal y canto has been "patched up" throughout its history, alien to such substances. On December 8, 1970 Pope Paul VI granted the temple the title Basilica Menor.2 in 1997 the technique and materials used at the time of its construction was restored, and on July 31, 1998, by resolution 0795 was declared a national monument of Colombia building.
