Cerro Nutibara, Medellin

4.1
Hike, take the bus, or grab a taxi to the top of Cerro Nutibara, where you'll find several cultural attractions in addition to the lush nature around you. One of the city's so-called "guardian hills," the summit rises 80 m (262 ft) above the rest of town. Pay a visit to the replica "Pueblito Paisa" (a representation of a traditional village), or stop by the city museum. Afterwards, you can wander the sculpture park, which features works by a number of South American artists. Don't miss the viewing platform near the village, which offers sweeping views across most of the city and landscape below. • The cerro is a paved trail, which gives access to the Pueblito Paisa. If you like to walk, it's worth walking up, otherwise, take a taxi to go up. You can also climb a huge staircase, but I think it's more tiring than walking.

  • To find a bit of peace and quiet in this very troubled city, it is good to land on the hills of Medellin. First city view is almost 360 degrees and weather is surprising, but there are also small shops or restaurants. Place to do and at a lower cost and to make a nice ride

  • Surprisingly a really nice walk through the hikl with art sculptures hidden in the forest for you to find. Its quiet although in the heart of the city. A great place to take a peaceful walk, take a date, enjoy some art and some great views. Careful when you go. It may not be the safest after sundown and it is a place for people to for drug using. If that bothers you...well...you need to relax. Its otherwise fairly safe and a nice walk to enjoy.
  • The highlight of traversing the hill is the sprawling landscapes of downtown Medellin! It’s amazing to see the city sprawl up and down the sides of the valley with dramatic clouds hovering above. There are plenty of touristy stalls selling nick nails but we avoided them and opted for the serene surrounds
  • You get to see Medellin during the night. And it's amazing. The lights make the city look incredible. The food there is cheap and the people are lovely. It's close to the Nutibara metro station...
  • It's just fine for a one night stay if you're on a hurry, nothing special about it but I didn't dislike it either.
  • Clearly a tourist venue, but it seemed more like the locals are using it for a convenient R & R and picnic area inside the city. Incredible Views too, from a huge platform at the peak.
