  • We were here in 2010 and now for the second time. Since eight months there is a new building where hotel rooms are, not cheap, but spacious and equipped with their own bathroom facilities. You can of course still in the old building overnight at a much lower price, without sanitary facilities. You can come here but with prior reservation at Aguas de Manizales. For non-Colombians it takes what Aguas de Manizales responds to emails. So start early. Once in the area you need to hire a guide, should also be paid in advance together with the accommodation. Arturo is the House guide, a man what a brilliant knowledge of birds. We were here for 3 nights and 2 full days, no moment have we bored. Maria Eugenia is Manager and cooks very delicious. You can also come here for a trip, but everything has to be booked in advance. To get there you can drive yourself from Manizales, or you may request transport at Aguas de Manizales. We have here a lot of species of birds seen, many not far away somewhere between the leaves, but well visible. Beautiful

  • I have visited the reservation many times and I never tire of enjoy it, what I don't understand is so much propaganda if you book it has no operational capacity, these days they arrive and become foreigners wanting to do bird watching and it is never possible to get permission What's going on? would be good that waters of Manizales or the same reservation we had the reason for such refusal with visits or how it can help them to improve services.
