  • I have booked the tour to the Hacienda Venecia in my hostel (mountain hostel) and was picked up directly at 08:30. We were a very pleasant group of 7 people. The leadership, as well as all information was incredibly informative, interesting, and very entertaining. I have never before had such good leadership. First, you get a small introduction to the history of coffee's, as well as an overview of the different varieties and cultivation areas. And there is of course a cup of coffee of the highest quality. Then go together to the plantation and learn everything about the coffee plants and cultivation. Then you go on to process the beans, sorting, peeling, washing and drying. Then they visited the camp. Finally, coffee is roasted then have in common and you can smell the different stages of roasting and taste. The subsequent food is very tasty. Who wants to can spend afterwards still time on the ranch, drink coffee, swim or just relax. The official repatriation is only at 17:30, that must be one clear. There is still a possibility at 14: 00, however the car has only to the main road, where you then must wave approached a bus himself. All in all one of the most beautiful experiences I had in Manizales, Colombia. Very much recommended!

  • Their coffee tour is quite expensive but it worth it. They explain you most issues about coffee processing and after you can relax in swimming pool. Lunch included, it is also good.  more »
