Catedral de Manizales, Manizales

(4.6/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Catedral de Manizales remains a towering example of 20th-century religious architecture and one of the best-known places of worship in the country. On this site, churches have been built and rebuilt after natural disasters and fires since the mid-19th century. The current building was completed in 1939, designed to be earthquake resistant. The pragmatic elements of the church are balanced with the bold Neo-Gothic style and ornamental stained glass work, a decorated main tower that reaches 106 m (348 ft) into the sky, and a vast interior with many religious artworks. Make Catedral de Manizales a centerpiece of your Manizales vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Manizales vacation route planner.

  • Frightening Cathedral of cement, with changing colored lights. Inside, it's even worse... Is better have a little chapel humble that such nonsense

  • From the outside, the Church tends to be an ugly concrete building. From the inside it is worth but always a visit. You can climb the church tower at an additional cost and who would have thought that a cup of coffee.

  • It is worth the view that it offers, the visit is guided, pity that the coffee not always open it. The best thing for my stained glass windows which are one of the best in our country.
