Parque Ecologico Mundo Amazonico, Leticia
(4.6/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Venture through a protected area of rainforest at Parque Ecologico Mundo Amazonico. Established as a family-run conservation project, the park opened to the public in 2009 and offers a range of tours, exhibits, and walking routes through reforested areas, previously destroyed by intensive cattle farming and environmental degradation. Learn about the native plant life of the rainforest, and discover the aims of the project, in light of the continued threats posed to areas of the forest. The on-site aquarium, filled with exotic and colorful fish, provides good entertainment for younger visitors. • It is a different place, where teach you medicinal plants, characteristic of the native Indians of the regional of the Amazon and the differences between each. There is the option of visiting a casique in a real maloka. The best thing is the lunch is Patarazca (wrapped in foil fish roasted in wood) very delicious accompanied by Farinha and cassava. Preferred to learn about the culture and natural aspects of plants used as organic use
