(4.9/5 based on 80 reviews on the web)
Learn about pre-Columbian history while you’re surrounded by lush green landscape at Archaeological Park of Tierradentro. The park is known for its pre-Columbian underground, or hypogea. Find these underground tombs, which typically feature western-oriented spiral stair entrances, leading to a chamber five to eight meters below ground. Chamber walls are usually painted in red, black, and white. Some of the underground chambers contain ancient remains, although many are gone due to grave robberies that happened before the park became a protected area. • Archaeological Park of Tierradentro is definitely one of Colombia's major archaeological sites. The availability of the different tombs the fine statues make this a very good site for those who are interested in history. We had the possibility to go by car between the different areas which significantly simplified the day. It's probably hard to go up as we get to do otherwise. We also saw a large boulder with petroglyphs outside the town's Church. It includes the same type of pits that are common among the rock carvings in Sweden. I thought that someone destroyed parts of the rock carvings with a hack. Our guide took me back to reality and said it was the gunshot wounds from fire fighting between guerrillas and the army.

  • Is one of the best places to visit, go with friends, family or partner. Make a good activity physical, see landscapes extraordinary observe the nature, see constructions of more than thousand years made by the ancient tribes that resided this sector. I recommend you go to the tombs of the high of the Goblin, Segovia, and the avocado this latest are impressive, and you look at the entire mountain range of the Andes, the view is simply stunning. To go to camping do camping, building fires. I recommend go likewise to the pyramid to 20 minutes of Inza also has a breathtaking view, and at the bottom there are two very interesting caves. In San Andrés de Piscimbalá I recommend to go to museums to appreciate culture and the paeces. What more I seems curious is that see more tourists foreigners that tourists Colombian, there are many person of Colombia that have knowledge that a place so impressive as this exists. 100% PREFERRED THE TRIP.
