Take a tour with Sierra Nevada del Cocuy and explore the Colombian mountain range with the guidance of professional mountaineers. Adventurous climbers can tackle more than 5,000 m (16,404 ft) to reach the permanently ice-capped peaks of the mountain. Travel through tropical rainforest, high Andean forest, and snow as you engage in rock climbing, ice climbing, camping, and horseback riding. If you're not quite up for that type of challenge, the tour operator organizes other activities for families and less-experienced hikers. Clean air, green landscape, the friendliness of the people, everything falls and they are the desire to return and stay more time. We were not up to the snow-covered, but took us to a vantage point where as we enjoyed the view. The climate is pleasant, is not as cold as we think. Recommend a night in cabins that are close to the departure point already that this period of acclimatisation is key to hike the next day. It should do so calmly and enjoy the beautiful landscapes. At the end is beautiful as well as the feeling of greatness that produces a place so perfect.
