  • Visiting Cucuta is stop must know the Malecón, has very nice places to hang out as well as sites of fast foods and discotheques. However in some sectors it is not recommended to walk walk, especially at night, due to risk of theft by drug users who roam in these sectors.

Where to stay in Cucuta

A city on the border with Venezuela, Cucuta represents a major regional transport, commercial, and tourist hub, as reflected in its abundance of accommodations. Since many visits to Cucuta are transitory in nature, with business people crossing the border in either direction, places to stay mostly cluster to the south of Highway 70. Still, as a town boasting plenty of attractions in its own right, Cucuta has come to offer a wider range of choices than business hotels and motels; choose from a solid selection of boutique accommodations, rental apartments, and budget-friendly guesthouses.
