  • The common bridge is a bridge dating from the colonial period on the Bogota River (formerly called River Funza), in the municipality of Chía (Cundinamarca). Located thirty kilometers from Bogota is still this bridge built in 1796.1 operated as a unique bridge for motor vehicles until well into the second half of the 20th century. Today it remains in good condition and can be visited.

  • It's all stone and is historic. It is very nice but it is difficult to stop by (I mean, Park), to walk, since it is in the middle of roads.

  • Similar to the bridge of Boyacá, today the common bridge is ideal for photo, old bridge, work of great architecture, great place to visit in the Savannah of Bogotá.

Where to stay in Chia

Chia benefits from a number of mid-range hotels dotted around the central precinct, offering good size rooms conveniently located for exploring the city on foot. The outskirts of the main urban area offer more characterful and atmospheric accommodations, with a handful of family-owned guesthouses and rental villas to choose from. To take advantage of Chia's proximity to the hustle and bustle of the capital to the south, consider staying near transport hubs or connecting regional roads for easy access to Bogota.
