  • Is a cosy square in the historic centre of Cartagena, wooded lot, with many banks for rest, always busy and with some artistic presentation. Is a location close to the major points of the surrounding tourist visitation and meeting point between tourists and Carthaginians. Initially, it was called Plaza de la Catedral. In 1610, the construction of the Tribunal of the Inquisition in the city of Cartagena, having your name changed to square the square of the Inquisition, which lasted until 11 November 1896, when he received a gift of the statue of Simón Bolívar, and in honor of this hero, was renamed Plaza Bolívar.

  • Nice little plaza to view on your way walking around Getsemani area. Not much to see other than main statue in image, good for quick visit.  more »
