Parque del Centenario, Cartagena

Categories: Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.3/5 based on 95+ reviews on the web
Head to Parque del Centenario for a walk through lush, pristine park space while commemorating those who lost their lives during the revolt for independence in Colombia. Visitors also flock here to observe a variety of animal species in the wild; iguanas, birds, and monkeys (among others) all inhabit the area. Having spent much of its life unfinished due to a lack of funds, the park has undergone a recent renovation that has brought vibrancy to the place. There's plenty of canopied, shady areas here too, so bring a book. Using our custom trip planner, Cartagena attractions like Parque del Centenario can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • We think that it would be more beautiful, the truth is that it could be kept better. But anyway it is a nice ride that doesn't take long. The best are the squirrels who walk by all the trees and there are many.

  • I spent every day in the Park to go to the walled city out of Getsemani. It's frequented by locals. Seems a bit abandoned.
