  • Located in the old part of Cartagena, architecturally beautiful and oldest local, has several interesting exhibits on the ground floor. On the first floor there is well illustrated the history of the Colombian Navy. You have to know Spanish because the inscriptions are only in Spanish. Interesting environmental reconstructions of the command post of a ship and a submarine.

  • This is a small but nice museum that explains the history of Cartagena. History is explained in Spanish. If interested in history this is a nice museum. Displays are well thought out and interesting.  more »
  • This museum presents old and dusty. The installations are worn or defective. Too bad about the time.

  • Best museum we visited in Colombia. We received a brief history of the city and the countries naval history. Very good diagrams and models of the city over time with good explanations of what the background history. The guides english wasn't great (if your spanish isnt great either) but made up for it with knowledge and enthusiasm.
  • Great museum! Was really a surprise for us. You can touch everything. Ask for a free English guide as all exhibits are in Spanish only.
  • If you don't speak Spanish, you aren't able to spend some good and informative time in the museum. Besides that it's a nice place and they try to keep the exhibition diversified.
  • Excellent place for families to visit! Even our two year old had a good time. The first floor of the museum focuses on the history of Cartagena, and the second floor is about Colombia's modern navy. There are a lot of interactive exhibits on the second floor - the submarine simulation was an especially big hit. It's worth the entry fee of approximately $6 for adults (under $1 for kids).
  • Cool museum, nice installations, interesting stories. But there is nearly nothing available in english - no worries, the guy at the entrance is happy to help for about 7-10 usd to guide you through the exhibition. Just make sure you write down the price before you start as we agreed on COP20,000 and at the end he was pretty adamant that we need to give him COP30,000...
