Bring the whole family along to see the animals at Zoologico de Cali, sheltering a mix of native and exotic animals, including flamingoes, Amazonian tapirs, white tigers, pythons, and kangaroos. Step into the impressive butterfly enclosure with a small piece of fruit in your hand and watch as the beautiful insects swoop down to eat from your palm. Shedding its old reputation for dirty cages and poor standards, the zoo is now known for taking good care of its animals and providing them with adequate enclosures. • Although it is not very large well preserved, spaces are well organized and entering facilitate a map with the locations. The cost of entry is not high.

  • If you go, purchase the regular ticket and buy lunch inside. The hot dog is not good. It is still a zoo. Can be depressing to see all those caged animals :(
  • A really nice zoo, especially for what I was expecting. On par with US zoos. Not too exciting, just like any other zoo. It was cool seeing the Colombian native flora and fauna. A lot of the enclosures (lion, bear, Bengal tiger could have been much bigger. Employees and guards were very nice. Lots of taxis to grab outside the entrance.
  • Plenty of animals, beautiful landscape and decorations. It can take around 2 to 3 hours to see it all. It's really worthwhile if you visit Cali.
  • Rich in species and creatively organised. Great crowd
  • Beautiful. A true must-visit in Cali. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes (it is a bit big). They have a good snack and food offer in the zoo. Also, ask about special evening events. After you finish here, walk along the riverside to La Tertulia Church.
