Situated in a lush green valley, the bridge is surrounded by monuments dedicated to the famous battle that was won by the forces of Simon Bolivar and granted independence to Colombia. Cross the Teatinos River via the small bridge, which was actually built a century before the iconic battle took place there. • A site that wanted to meet yet non-essential visit as an end point. Become a place beside the road best to make a route by several people in the region and make a stop to explore it and learn a little history about the independence of Colombia. The landscape of the environment is very beautiful and the collection of monuments is well integrated with nature. The key attractions are the small bridge over the Teatinos River, the monument to Simon Bolivar in the mas alto Hill, the Arc de Triomphe and the flags square. On the other side of the road is also the Obelisk. The entrance and the parking is free, is very large and there is a lookout restaurant which is open only on weekends. There are also bathrooms and private security service. The place is clean and in good condition.

  • It is a pleasant and historic place where a battle of the independence of Colombia was fought. Several monuments and lots of green. However, I think that they committed a donkey doing the motorway for the Center and two of the monuments are on the other side.

  • Large format, historical monument, site where the independence of the Republic was sealed. It has several scenarios and must walk a little on site rather steep for know it full, which is makes it difficult for the elderly or physically challenged

  • It's pretty good. If you meet with the guide they will educate you on independence history which involves 5 South American countries. Good spot.
  • If you visit Boyacá you must go to this place, you can find good frames to take interesting shots and learn something about the colombian history. Also you can stop if you need a restroom or drink something.
