  • As devotees of the divine infant Jesus ourselves sometime visit his shrine on July 20. We achieve this blessing this year and we couldn't be more grateful. Our visit was on Sunday, the day that many people come on pilgrimage by what both the Church, as its aisles and square were quite full of people and yet, the experience was very spiritual. We hear the mass (one starts every hour) that ends with blessing of children and religious objects, we pray with the original image brought about by Father Juan de el Rizzo, we walked around the area where there are many options to buy religious items (must be (careful and be very aware) and live together with thousands of faithful this beautiful devotion. Come to the end of the afternoon which limited our options for a meal at the site, but was offset by opposite child Jesus prayer. Enjoy!

  • A religious meka for those that pray to Baby Jesus. This place is in a poor neighborhood so if you decide to go make sure you don't take any jewelery or expensive clothes so you can mix in with the crowd.

Where to stay in Bogota

Many visitors to Bogota stay in La Candelaria, a colonial-era neighborhood in the city center where you can find plenty of decent hostels and mingle with tourists from around the globe. Staying in this area also puts you within walking distance of the city's major museums and best nightlife options. If you prefer to sleep in a quieter area and visit this busy district during the day, consider accommodations in the northern section of the city, which includes the upscale neighborhood Zona T.
