#4 of 22 in Theme Parks in Colombia
Theme Park Water / Amusement Park
Classic amusement-park attractions await at Salitre Magico, one of the leading family-friendly sites in the region. Originally inaugurated in 1973, the park underwent major redevelopment at the turn of the new millennium, with themed areas and a whole host of exciting rides and entertainment drawing a growing number of tourists. Ride on one of three main roller coasters, have a blast on the bumper cars, or take to the sky on the 40 m (131 ft) Ferris wheel, gaining extensive views of the city below. Younger visitors appreciate the carousel, swings, and a mini Ferris wheel, as well as the many games dotted around the large park. • Salitre magico is by far the best amusement park mechanical that exist in Colombia, if you like the adrenaline this is your place. The place is conveniently located on the carrera 68, just off Parque Simon Bolivar. It has attractions for all ages, from the classic carousel for the most kids up to the most daring falls vacuum and coasters for the more daring. The view of the city from the Ferris wheel is very nice because there are many green areas. Enjoy it!

  • This is one of my favorite places to visit when I just don't mind to spend a little bit more of money, you have lots of things to do in the park. Sundays is a chaos, but if you get the Fast Pass, it's not gonna be a hell for you The only thing is that the Castle instead of scaring you, makes you laugh.
  • It was fun for the kids. Lots of rides and going on a quiet day makes for short lines which makes the stay more enjoyable. Really enjoyed thw tribute to Michael Jackson, Thriller!
  • Bien para ir un miércoles porque es más barato, pero se nota lo viejo del parque. Deberían actualizarlo un poco. Y muy mañana la atención en los locales de comida, de mala gana y te dan la información incompleta
  • Nice place to go and have fun. There are three rollercoasters and a "rueda de la fortuna".
  • What u want? A place for boring people or extreme place for cool people? Be part of the better extreme park to Bogota

Where to stay in Bogota

Many visitors to Bogota stay in La Candelaria, a colonial-era neighborhood in the city center where you can find plenty of decent hostels and mingle with tourists from around the globe. Staying in this area also puts you within walking distance of the city's major museums and best nightlife options. If you prefer to sleep in a quieter area and visit this busy district during the day, consider accommodations in the northern section of the city, which includes the upscale neighborhood Zona T.
