  • It's a fairly urbanized square, located in downtown Bogota. Before the advent of the Republic, it was called San Francisco Park for being very close to the convent and Church of the same name, has also been called the square of herbs because of their trees. Some sources cite as creation of Bogotá. Its highlight is the statue of Francisco de Paula Santander (military and Colombian politician, influential American emancipation in front of the Spanish Empire), as well as your source, your trees, the building of the company Avianca and the gold Museum.

  • Like much around this part of the centro area it is dirty and run down and nothing much here. It is close to the Gold Mueum so you may pass by.  more »
  • I think this square bears his name by being next to the Santander park adjacent to the gold Museum, is a place where all kinds of people, tourists usually carrying your camera photo, the elderly with his cane, the young man with his tattoos and clothing and adult with your dress classic or wrapped sport is observed lastimosente faced with this we see some people who meet in the Park and generate an atmosphere of uncleanliness and insecure about their physical appearance and disorderly, however, we see the presence of police and surveillance private in the surroundings, there are shops offering a variety of products and some meals and coffee establishments, as well as the traditional footwear plunger everything to make us feel proud of our culture, tradition and trade dynamic in a society ever more distrustful but risky you see on an urban adventure.

  • It is filled with many skaters that sometimes disrespect to pedestrians. Additionally they let wastes accumulate.

  • Interesting cultural experience. Lively and supplemented with multiple and varied expressions popular from artists, musicians, vendors to marches of protest. Interesting place.

  • Bogotá 2016 Administration has made sequels that are evident in the poor state of the sector.
