  • It is located in the Centre of the city of Bogotá, in the seventh race with the Sixteenth Street junction. Stands a statue of Francisco de Paula Santander who was a hero of independence in its Center, a nice source of three jets and their large trees. The square itself is nothing special, but its outline inside the gold Museum, the Tower Avianca, which in its time was one of the highest in South America, and the Bank of the Republic. Facing the square three of the oldest and most beautiful churches of Bogota, are also such as the San Francisco church, the Church of the third order and the Veracruz Church. Visit Bogota don't miss the opportunity to go to this plaza Santander, because she can know inside these impressive churches and visit the gold Museum which is magnificent.

  • Square got the name due to the monument to Santander, national hero, but that should be visited because here are the excellent Museum of gold and the beautiful and historic church of San Francisco. The great movement of tourists, locals take advantage to make selling handicrafts and taking pictures with typical costumes. Make sure you know!

  • There is nothing much to do at this Plaza. I just passed through it when visiting the Museo de Oro and churches near by.

  • It is filled with many skaters that sometimes disrespect to pedestrians. Additionally they let wastes accumulate.

  • Interesting cultural experience. Lively and supplemented with multiple and varied expressions popular from artists, musicians, vendors to marches of protest. Interesting place.

  • Bogotá 2016 Administration has made sequels that are evident in the poor state of the sector.

  • Santander park (Parque de Santander) hits the somewhat opposite the San Francisco church. The Calle7 faces, surrounded by Golden Emerald Museum, Church of San Francisco.
