#6 of 17 in Parks in Bogota
Nature / Park
Head to Parque de Usaquen, the center of what was once a village separate from the city, but now stands as one of the most popular meeting and recreation places in town. Take a break in the shade of the trees, watching locals go about their daily routines, and watch as lively street performers act, mime, and sing as they pass through the park. Have a look at the handicrafts and souvenirs on sale at the market stalls that pop up around the park, and treat yourself to a snack and a cold drink from one of the many vendors. Where to stay in Bogota

Many visitors to Bogota stay in La Candelaria, a colonial-era neighborhood in the city center where you can find plenty of decent hostels and mingle with tourists from around the globe. Staying in this area also puts you within walking distance of the city's major museums and best nightlife options. If you prefer to sleep in a quieter area and visit this busy district during the day, consider accommodations in the northern section of the city, which includes the upscale neighborhood Zona T.

  • If you'd like to see another neighborhood in Bogota aside from downtown, Usaquen is the place to go. There are a lot of good restaurants and beautiful streets thriving with life!  more »
  • This nothing more that a square with some trees so not really a park. On sundays it is quite lively and there are plenty of nice restaurants in the neighborhood.  more »

  • I great place to go as a tourist. On Sundays they have a flea market filled with food, crafts, and clothing. There is even a hidden gem within that. There will be two women dressed in traditional colombian dresses inviting you inside. It looked cheesy at first so I walked right by. But when I finally went in I loved it! They had a bunch of different trinkets that were also cheaper than the rest of the market.
  • Great place to hang around. Specially on sunny sundays when you'll find food, a local market, dancers, puppets, antiques, restaurants, coffee shops, more food and a lot of fun.
  • Very nice area with lots of restaurants, on the week end, the area is filled with differetn booths selling artesanal objects and local delicacies during the sunday food fair.
  • similar to san angel in Mexico DF... great place, great restaurants and un sundays a flea market where you can find that thing you need
  • It's a good place to stay. A little bit crowded on weekends but you can find lots of crafts and things to eat close by
