Parque de Usaquen, Bogota

#6 of 16 in Parks in Bogota
Head to Parque de Usaquen, the center of what was once a village separate from the city, but now stands as one of the most popular meeting and recreation places in town. Take a break in the shade of the trees, watching locals go about their daily routines, and watch as lively street performers act, mime, and sing as they pass through the park. Have a look at the handicrafts and souvenirs on sale at the market stalls that pop up around the park, and treat yourself to a snack and a cold drink from one of the many vendors. • Few fun things there are to do outside the Bogota as visit Usaquén Park on Sunday or holidays when the flea market, is a super fun activity to do with kids and adults. When there are flea market becomes a party of colors, tastes and music... unmissable if you come to Bogota

  • A landmark in the city. I don't usually visit this place except when I'm showing the square, mall, church and flea market to tourists. It's easier to get there on Sundays thanks to the ciclovía so rent a bike and give it a try. The area has several national and international restaurants and stores. The flea market is worth visiting for buying souvenirs. You can walk and enjoy a great time. Be ready to haggle and make conversation with sellers.
  • It is a space built at the beginning of the 20th century. Its square has trees that are more than two hundred years old. Around the square you find restaurants with an unlimited gastronomy. The pubs are accompanied with varied music according to the taste of the visitor.
  • Beautiful and bohemian district in Bogota. Lots of restaurants, clubs, bars, fusion and international cuisine at its best. Especially on the weekends, a lot of street performers, street musicians, flee markets, food festivals lots going on, lots to see! And many restaurants around this place are pet friendly!!
  • What a great stroll through the park. It's surrounded by nice and quiet little cafes that you can hit up in the morning. As the day progresses, it can get a bit busy. It's worth the walk. Make sure you visit the church. It's beautiful.
  • What a great place. During the weekend there are tons of artists and Jewelers selling their wares at reasonable prices. All around the square there are wonderful restaurants and coffee shops. Definitely a must if you travel to Bogotá
