Parque de Usaquen, Bogota

#6 of 16 in Parks in Bogota
Head to Parque de Usaquen, the center of what was once a village separate from the city, but now stands as one of the most popular meeting and recreation places in town. Take a break in the shade of the trees, watching locals go about their daily routines, and watch as lively street performers act, mime, and sing as they pass through the park. Have a look at the handicrafts and souvenirs on sale at the market stalls that pop up around the park, and treat yourself to a snack and a cold drink from one of the many vendors. • County Fair located in Usaquen neighborhood which houses handicrafts and on the outskirts of the neighborhood. Has a variety of souvenirs and that in your vicinity has a church that is beautiful and that he was preparing to have mass on the day I visited and that has several restaurants of national and international cuisine. It's worth a stroll and see the sympathy of people who are out there selling crafts and what caught my attention was the simplicity and the smile of the people to take a craft. The neighborhood is great and worth going to.

  • It is a very nice place, it is small one feels like in a fairy tale and boasts a range of very good restaurants, good choice to visit at night although this a little retired from the city but worth

  • A landmark in the city. I don't usually visit this place except when I'm showing the square, mall, church and flea market to tourists. It's easier to get there on Sundays thanks to the ciclovía so rent a bike and give it a try. The area has several national and international restaurants and stores. The flea market is worth visiting for buying souvenirs. You can walk and enjoy a great time. Be ready to haggle and make conversation with sellers.
  • It is a space built at the beginning of the 20th century. Its square has trees that are more than two hundred years old. Around the square you find restaurants with an unlimited gastronomy. The pubs are accompanied with varied music according to the taste of the visitor.
  • Beautiful and bohemian district in Bogota. Lots of restaurants, clubs, bars, fusion and international cuisine at its best. Especially on the weekends, a lot of street performers, street musicians, flee markets, food festivals lots going on, lots to see! And many restaurants around this place are pet friendly!!
  • What a great stroll through the park. It's surrounded by nice and quiet little cafes that you can hit up in the morning. As the day progresses, it can get a bit busy. It's worth the walk. Make sure you visit the church. It's beautiful.
  • What a great place. During the weekend there are tons of artists and Jewelers selling their wares at reasonable prices. All around the square there are wonderful restaurants and coffee shops. Definitely a must if you travel to Bogotá

Where to stay in Bogota

Many visitors to Bogota stay in La Candelaria, a colonial-era neighborhood in the city center where you can find plenty of decent hostels and mingle with tourists from around the globe. Staying in this area also puts you within walking distance of the city's major museums and best nightlife options. If you prefer to sleep in a quieter area and visit this busy district during the day, consider accommodations in the northern section of the city, which includes the upscale neighborhood Zona T.
