Architectural Building
Head to Palacio Arzobispal, the workplace and home of the Archbishop of Bogota, and a building with a rich and storied past. Situated in the main plaza of the city and right next to a grand cathedral, the palace has been a part of the square since the mid 20th century, though a precursor building was used in the mid 18th century. Admire the building's awe-inspiring architecture and Italian sculptor Vico Consorti's intricately carved front door. • Situated in the neighborhood of Candelária, in the Plaza Bolivar or Plaza Mayor, next to the Cathedral Primada. Initially, it was designed by Sunday Esquiaqui en 1793 and housed the Customs building. Served as Office of Pablo Morillo and Juan Sámano. In 1948 Margarita Herrera and your daughter made the donation of the building to the city's Archbishop, Ismael Perdom. In 1951, the Archbishop Crisanto held a tender for the construction of the Palace. On September 29, 1952 was laid and blessed the first stone of the building.

  • It overlooks the plaza and is a signiricant building adjacent to the cathedral showing the significance of the church in Bogota.  more »
  • The Archbishop's Palace is located next to the Metropolitan Cathedral, it is a building with large windows and infrastructure includes half a chapel with two beautiful bell-towers, which from the architectural field does not look aesthetically the rest of the set. The space is used for clerical administrative offices. Enjoy of Bogotá. Her life... is a trip!

  • A beautiful colonial church, located between the Apostolic Nunciature and the Cathedral (internally connected to the Cathedral). It keeps permanently exposed the Blessed Sacrament; its walls are decorated with paintings of Arce y Ceballos (painter of the colonial era), all which facilitates the gathering and prayer. Magnificent and very!
