  • It was soon made the tour of this Museum (half an hour), but we learn a lot, particularly about configuration of the Emerald mines.

  • The visit to the Museum of the Emerald is monitored and free of charge. As is done in small groups it is possible to take advantage of the whole story of the stones, the different colors, different models. A walk very enlightening and full of surprises in the designs and colors of the rocks. Photography is not permitted because of the value of the stones but visitors can take pictures of the city because it's Museum is located on the 23rd floor.

  • It's an interesting site to see a little bit about the mining of emeralds in Colombia, which is the producer of the world of this gem. Is a private museum, has a collection of gems and a store where you can buy jewelry made with this material. Stay inside the building Avianca, in a high floor, which provides a very nice view of the city. But if you have a few days recently, don't make this ride a priority, unless you really like much of emeralds.

  • Spectacular journey through the world of mining of emeralds, primarily recommended if you go with foreign friends that like jewelry, also exhibit and sell jewelry. It opens from 10 am, and is worth $5000 (1.45 US).
