  • Strolling the streets filled with stalls selling crafts and clothes and jewelry and much else. We arrived early and there was some disagreement with some of the street vendors and the authorities. Tur...  more »
  • We arrived at Usaquen and it started to rain. We decided to have a cup of coffee around and when we left, it was a sunny afternoon and enjoyable. We walk with tranquillity for the fair. The tents are situated in streets where traffic to cars blocked. There are stalls of typical foods and many craft products, including clothes, handbags, shoes, games, screens. Is there a mall around, but we prefer the outdoors. For those who enjoy this kind of ride and with time, it is worth knowing. We like.

  • On Sundays, in the neighborhood of Usaquén, runs an antiques fair with stalls scattered around the streets where are sold crafts, antiques, teas, coffee, typical food. It's an interesting ride for a Sunday, combining with a lunch in the various bars and restaurants there are in place.

  • From 9 on Sunday. Best visited early before the crowds arrive! You'll find everything from bags and jewellery to pieces of amber and model dragons! It was great to talk to the artisans about their work. I couldn't resist trying some lechona, which is a traditional Colombian dish of slow-cooked pork stuffed with rice and beans - at 10k pesos I got a heaping plate and wished I hadn't had as big a breakfast! Occasionally a vendor accepts credit card but as a rule most of them take cash. As a solo female I encountered no issues with safety though be aware that surge pricing will be in force when you call an uber, and because of the ciclovia it may mean traffic on your way home.
  • Interesting place full of unique selections.
  • Open on Sundays with lots of original artesenias, not just for tourists and plenty of dining options.
  • Great place to visit
  • Incredibly charming place. Perfect for a Sunday walk.

Where to stay in Bogota

Many visitors to Bogota stay in La Candelaria, a colonial-era neighborhood in the city center where you can find plenty of decent hostels and mingle with tourists from around the globe. Staying in this area also puts you within walking distance of the city's major museums and best nightlife options. If you prefer to sleep in a quieter area and visit this busy district during the day, consider accommodations in the northern section of the city, which includes the upscale neighborhood Zona T.
